Lennart Jasch wins stage 2 of Le Tour de Langkawi to take overall lead

Lennart Jasch of the Tudor Pro Cycling team climbed to victory at Gunung Jerai on stage 2 of Le Tour de Langkawi. This win at the first of three summit finishes propelled the German rider directly to the top of the general classification standings.

Jasch, who is currently in his first season in the professional ranks after transitioning from speed skating due to an injury, tackled the challenging climb with the composure of an experienced competitor.

During the ascent, he chased down and caught Abel Balderstone of the Caja Rural-Serguros RGA team. Jasch then maintained his pressure to establish a 16-second gap by the end of the second stage of the 30th edition of the Malaysian Pro Tour race.
