Abel Balderstone Aims to Make an Impression at Le Tour de Langkawi Ahead of Transfer to UAE Team Emirates-XRG

Spanish rider Abel Balderstone, 26, currently competing for Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, has signed a contract with UAE Team Emirates-XRG for the upcoming three seasons.

Despite securing his future transfer, Balderstone is not resting on his achievements and continues to look for opportunities to make a mark at Le Tour de Langkawi.

During Monday's stage 2, he put pressure on his rivals early on the lower slopes of Gunung Jerai. He launched a move early on the 10.6km climb, which features an average gradient approaching ten percent alongside steep ramps that demand extra power.
