Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - Definitive Edition Announced for Nintendo Switch 2

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - Definitive Edition has been officially announced for the Nintendo Switch 2, with a scheduled launch date of February 25, 2027. Digital pre-orders for the game have already begun today on the Nintendo eShop. While the game will be available as a physical Game-Key Card in Europe and Japan, official release details for North America are still pending.

This enhanced version allows players to battle through the events of the Great Calamity, set 100 years before the events of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Definitive Edition includes all previously released Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass content, alongside visual and frame rate upgrades, denser enemy crowds on screen, and a brand-new, ultra-tough "Calamity Mode."

Players who already own the original Nintendo Switch version will be able to transfer their existing save data and purchase the upgraded digital version for the Nintendo Switch 2 at a discount on the eShop. For digital owners, the discount will be automatically applied to their Nintendo Account. Physical game card holders can activate their discount by inserting the cartridge into the Nintendo Switch 2 console, updating the game to Version 1.4.0 or later via an internet connection, launching the game, and selecting "Proceed to Nintendo eShop" from the main menu.
