Young Cyclist Anja Grossmann Claims World Championships Junior Bronze Before Moving to WorldTour

Young Swiss star Anja Grossmann now holds a pair of bronze medals from her two appearances in women's junior road races at the UCI Road World Championships. During her performances in Montreal, she finished fourth in the time trial and crossed the line third in a sprint finish from a five-rider group in the road race late Friday afternoon.

Reflecting on her achievements, Grossmann expressed that she was "happy, and also disappointed" with her results. She will soon be able to put aside her distaste for "hectic" junior racing as she turns her focus toward larger objectives.

Grossmann turns 19 next year and is set to advance her career with a two-year road contract to race for FDJ United-Suez. Additionally, she will compete in cyclo-cross with their new Specialized TMRW UCI-registered squad.
