Section of High Wycombe Sainsbury's Supermarket Closed After Water Leak

A section of the Sainsbury's supermarket on Oxford Road in High Wycombe has been sealed off following a leak from the first-floor car park that damaged several self-service checkout tills. Images show multiple self-checkout machines wrapped in black protective coverings, with warning signs informing customers that the area is out of bounds.

Notices attached to the damaged machines attribute the closure to "storm damage" and apologize to shoppers for the inconvenience. Containers have been placed beneath some of the affected areas, and a staff member indicated that the issue is believed to have occurred around the end of a recent heatwave.

A spokesperson for Sainsbury's confirmed that the damage resulted from a leak originating in the first-floor car park, adding that the store is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. The supermarket remains open while repair work continues, though no timeframe has been provided for when the tills will be restored.
