Reusser and Vollering Lead Favourites for World Championships Women's Time Trial in Montreal

This weekend in Montreal, female riders will compete in the elite women's time trial at the Road World Championships. The cyclists will cover a distance of 39.2km, which matches the distance set for the men's event.

The 39.2km route stands as the longest time trial course women have ever faced in the history of the Championships. It also marks only the third time that women will race the exact same distance as men since the time trial event was first introduced to the Road World Championships in 1994.

Among the contenders, Marlen Reusser, who dominated in 2025, and Demi Vollering are highlighted as the top favorites in the challenge against the clock.
