Remco Evenepoel dominates World Championships with massive victory margin over Filippo Ganna

Remco Evenepoel of Belgium claimed his fourth consecutive time trial title at the UCI Road World Championships held in Montreal.

Entering the race as the outright favourite, Evenepoel's victory came as no major surprise. However, what stood out as highly unusual was the massive margin of victory he established over Italy's Filippo Ganna.

In the pair's previous head-to-head matchups in 2023 and 2024, the gaps between them were just 12 and six seconds, respectively. On Sunday, that margin widened to a massive 57 seconds.
