Québec and Montréal WorldTour Organisers Ready for Women's Races Pending Funding and Logistics

Organisers of the Grands Prix Cyclistes de Québec et Montréal are theoretically prepared to introduce women's races alongside their existing men's WorldTour events. However, several steps still need to be taken before these additional races can be realized.

According to the organisers, progress must still be made regarding the financing and logistics of hosting additional competitions. To date, the WorldTour races held in Québec and Montréal have never included events for women.

Montréal previously hosted a round of the women's World Cup between 1998 and 2009, a one-day race series that served as the precursor to the Women's WorldTour. Nevertheless, when the Québec and Montréal WorldTour races were launched in 2010, they were designed exclusively for the men's peloton.
