Primož Roglič Holds Second Overall at Vuelta a España Ahead of Final Weekend

Heading into the final weekend of the Vuelta a España up to stage 19, Primož Roglič of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe holds second place overall. On the final climb, Roglič was seen riding in front of race leader Enric Mas of Movistar.

While delivering a solid performance, the rider has lacked the typical ruthless victories seen during his previous four Vuelta a España titles. His campaign prior to stage 19 has not featured the dominant displays he has traditionally showcased.

Roglič's build-up was severely hampered after being hit by a driver in July, leading him to enter the Vuelta without high general classification expectations. Despite pre-race favourite Tadej Pogačar crashing out on stage 8, Roglič has been unable to step into the spotlight and take command of the race as he has in past editions.
