Oscar Onley Takes Sixth Overall and Best Young Rider Jersey at Vuelta a España

Oscar Onley completed the Vuelta a España with Netcompany Ineos, securing sixth place overall and winning the white jersey for the Best Young Rider. His campaign concluded on Sunday evening at the race finale in Granada following a demanding three-week competition.

Throughout the event, Onley faced multiple setbacks, including two crashes and a stomach bug. The challenges threatened to derail his efforts early in his second Vuelta appearance, particularly during the fourth stage to Andorra, where overnight stomach issues left him questioning whether to continue.

Despite these obstacles, the rider persevered to complete his first Grand Tour with Netcompany Ineos. He emerged from the rollercoaster race having gained important lessons after overcoming the physical accidents and illness encountered along the route.
