Nil Gimeno Claims First Professional Victory on Stage 7 of Le Tour de Langkawi

Nil Gimeno (Equipo Kern Pharma) achieved his first professional victory on stage 7 of Le Tour de Langkawi to Batu Pahat. A four-rider breakaway group successfully stayed away to contest the win, despite a high-speed pursuit from the sprinters' teams behind.

Gimeno had previously finished in a frustrating fourth place on stage 4 when the breakaway survived in the Cameron Highlands. Refusing to let a second chance slip away, the rider made the most of the opportunity to celebrate a win at the finish line this time around.

Crossing the line first, Gimeno finished ahead of Mario Aparicio (Burgos Burpellet-BH) in second place and Andrei Stepanov (Wheeltop Rotor Chengdu) in third. Adne van Engelen (Terengganu), the final member of the breakaway group, was the one who had to settle for fourth place.
