Manon Bakker and Miles Mattern open 2026 US Cyclocross Series with wins

The 2026 US Cyclocross Series officially got underway on Saturday with the Rochester Cyclocross event, featuring victories by Dutch racer Manon Bakker and local cyclist Miles Mattern.

For Bakker, this marked a second consecutive win at the event. The performance by the 27-year-old racer also signaled a successful return to competition following iliac artery surgery.

During the race, the Dutch cyclist broke clear of the field on the second lap to push on toward victory. Meanwhile, Rochester local Miles Mattern, riding for CXD Trek Bikes, also claimed top honors on the opening day of the series.
