Lottie Fry shares journey back to basics with Glamourdale after European Championship

Following a disappointing result at the European Championship last summer, two-time world dressage champion Lottie Fry conducted a thorough debrief with her trainer, Anne van Olst. Deciding that the outcome was not what they wanted, the team made the decision to return to the very basics and start their preparation process over again.

The evaluation focused on identifying necessary changes and improving their preparation methods. According to Fry, the primary goal of this process was to rebuild their teamwork and harmony, as they experimented to find what worked best for the partnership.

Despite the challenges when things did not go as planned, Fry emphasized that they never doubted Glamourdale's ability to return to his peak form. She noted that the horse constantly feels stronger and possesses untapped potential, with the main challenge being to execute all elements perfectly at the same time.
