Young rider to compete in charity race in memory of horse lost in road collision

Tinks Walker, a young rider who tragically lost her event horse in a road collision, is participating in a charity Flat race in his memory. She hopes her participation will help prevent other horse owners from experiencing a similar tragedy.

The fatal accident occurred in May, resulting in the death of her 10-year-old event horse, Killossery Kaptain, also known as Benny. Walker still experiences flashbacks of the horrific road collision.

Walker is currently in training for the upcoming race, scheduled to take place at Newbury on 5 November. She will be riding to raise funds and raise awareness for the British Horse Society’s (BHS) "Dead Slow" road safety campaign.
