Lennert Van Eetvelt Wins Final Stage to Clinch Tour of Slovakia Overall Title

Lennert Van Eetvelt of Lotto-Intermarché claimed a double success on the final day of the Tour of Slovakia, winning stage 5 and with it sealing the overall title.

The Belgian rider had previously taken the overall lead following his victory on stage 3. That stage win positioned him at the top of the general classification heading into the final day.

The race came down to a demanding summit finish at Král'ova Hol'a, measuring 12.6km at an average gradient of 8.7%. This severe climbing test served as the decisive obstacle on the final stage to determine the overall winner.
