Laura Tomlinson Claims Two National Dressage Titles with New Ride Ostmarks Digal

Laura Tomlinson has secured two national titles at the 2026 LeMieux National Dressage Championships this week. Riding her new eight-year-old gelding, Ostmarks Digal (Grand Galaxy x De Noir), Tomlinson won both the Fairfax Saddles PSG gold and the D&H gold inter I.

Ostmarks Digal has been with Tomlinson since December, after arriving from the same German yard as her former top ride, Rose of Bavaria, who retired in 2024. The young gelding has made a stylish entry into the domestic dressage scene with these recent victories.

Despite their current success, Tomlinson admitted that their partnership had a challenging start, noting that she was not overly impressed the first few times she rode him at a show due to mounting difficulties. While he can still be fidgety and is sometimes nicknamed "Smeagol" at home when behaving naughtily, Tomlinson shared that he is becoming easier to work with as they get to know him better, adding that he knows and enjoys his job.
