Kurtis Campbell Claims First Octagon Victory at UFC Paris

Liverpool featherweight Kurtis Campbell secured his first Octagon win at UFC Paris after forcing American opponent Trevor Peek to tap out in the third round. Campbell dominated the opening two rounds on the mat with his wrestling before finishing the bout with a rear-naked choke.

The 24-year-old fighter, nicknamed 'The Pink Panther', addressed the heated pre-fight exchanges with Peek. Campbell noted that coming from Liverpool, he responds when provoked, though his mother prefers him to be a nice lad and will likely scold him for his behavior during the week. He described the fight as a chess match against Peek's chaotic style, aiming to drag his opponent into deep water to get the finish.

Campbell earned his UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series last year but suffered his first career loss to Danny Silva during his debut in London at the O2 Arena in March. Reflecting on that performance, Campbell admitted he got caught up in the hype during his debut, but maintained full focus and tunnel vision heading into his fight against Peek in Paris.
