Juliette Berthet wins stage 2 of Faun Tour Femmes as runner-up Niamh Fisher-Black takes GC lead

Juliette Berthet (FDJ United-SUEZ) claimed victory on stage 2 of the Faun Tour Femmes in Dieulefit on Friday. Her win restored normalcy to the race following a surprise winner in Thursday's opening stage.

During the race, Berthet was dropped by Niamh Fisher-Black (Lidl-Trek) on the last of the day's three climbs. However, she managed to stay in touch and caught up to the New Zealander at the summit.

Berthet then out-sprinted Fisher-Black in their two-up battle to secure her first victory in two years. Despite finishing as the runner-up, Fisher-Black successfully took over the lead in the general classification.
