Jakob Omrzel Shares Experience in First Grand Tour at Vuelta a España

During Friday's stage at the Vuelta a España, Bahrain Victorious rider Jakob Omrzel attempted to break away from the general classification group near the top of the Peñas Blancas climb.

Although the attack was unsuccessful and resulted in him losing six seconds to other overall contenders, the slight gap at the finish line did not seem to bother him too much.

Speaking to Eurosport at the Peñas Blancas summit while putting on a jacket, Omrzel expressed enthusiasm for his debut Grand Tour, stating that he felt like a kid in the peloton and was thoroughly enjoying the experience.

As he prepared for the long descent back to the team bus, a team soigneur handed him a whistle to help warn spectators along the way.
