Highlights and Key Winners at the 2026 National Dressage Championships

The 2026 LeMieux National Dressage Championships at Somerford Park featured outstanding performances as riders competed across various levels to claim national titles. Laura Tomlinson and her horse Ostmarks Digal secured a second championship victory by winning the D&H inter I gold with a score of 71.97%, following their PSG gold title win on Thursday. Gareth Hughes and Morricone III finished provisionally second in the inter I gold with 70.62%, while Amy Woodhead and MSJ Viva Donnebrog took provisional third place with 70.56%.

In the Fairfax Saddles PSG freestyle, Dannie Morgan claimed the title riding Fever Tree. Reflecting on the win, Morgan expressed gratitude for his horse's consistency. Meanwhile, Matt Frost secured a supreme title riding Lenika. Frost revealed that he had to overcome leg cramps during his ride, relying on electrolytes and stretching, while also adapting his riding position to accommodate Lenika's smaller size compared to his other horse.

Other divisions also witnessed highly competitive matches. Lily Laughton and EQP Deidre claimed the Bettalife novice gold title with a score of 73.19%, finishing ahead of Dylan Deutrom and Norma Jean II. In the TopSpec medium silver, Jack Morris and Quality Always Wins MFS edged out Lauren Aston and Free Flo for the top spot; both posted identical scores of 70.47%, but Morris secured the win on collective marks by a margin of 0.2. Earlier in the event, Michael Eilberg and MSJ Dante VX won the Stübben inter II gold, and Mary Pearson with Bella Vista took the prelim silver title.
