Florian Vermeersch Travels to Australia to Defend UCI Gravel World Title

Florian Vermeersch, the Belgian UAE Team Emirates-XRG rider who won the elite men's race at the 2025 UCI Gravel World Championships, has decided to travel to Australia to defend his title on the gravel roads of Nannup.

The rider secured his title in the Netherlands following a solo effort of nearly 20km on a 180km course featuring 1,650 metres of climbing. This victory came after he spent two years taking the runner-up slot at the event.

On Sunday, October 11, Vermeersch will line up in prime position wearing the number one on his back. He will compete on a decidedly different course that is considerably further from home.
