Enric Mas Wins 2026 Vuelta a España as Tobias Halland Johannessen Takes Final Stage

Stage 21, the finale of the 2026 Vuelta a España in Granada, saw Enric Mas secure his first Grand Tour title. After four previous podium finishes at past editions of the Vuelta, the Movistar rider took the overall victory with a 2:15 margin over second-placed Primož Roglič. Mas became the first Spanish rider to win the race since 2014, while Movistar successfully defended the red jersey after inheriting it from Tadej Pogačar earlier in the race.

At the unofficial start, five retiring riders—Pello Bilbao, Jesus Herrada, David de la Cruz, Steven Kruijswijk, and Magnus Cort—were honoured with a guard of honour. As the racing unfolded, Groupama rider Tronchon initiated a split over the top of a climb, pulling away a small group that included Brennan, Paret-Peintre, Romele, and Wout van Aert. Following late attacks in the closing kilometres, Tobias Halland Johannessen emerged to take the stage win.

The race concluded in Granada with the presentation of the final classification winners. Beside Mas claiming the red jersey, Wout van Aert won the points classification, Santiago Buitrago secured the King of the Mountains title, and Oscar Onley won the white jersey.
