Derek Gee-West Withdraws From Time Trial at Home World Championships

Derek Gee-West, one of the main hopes for a home victory at the upcoming Road World Championships, has been ruled out of Sunday’s time trial. His participation in the road race remains uncertain.

The decision comes after Gee-West crashed out of last weekend’s GP Cycliste de Montréal. The incident occurred with around 40 kilometers remaining in the race.

Gee-West suffered injuries to his ribs during the fall. Following the crash, he rode back to the Lidl-Trek team hotel.
