Colombian Cyclist Germán Gómez Becerra Cleared of Doping Charges by ITA

Colombian professional cyclist Germán Gómez Becerra has been cleared of a possible doping charge by the International Testing Agency (ITA). The decision comes nine months after he was provisionally suspended from competition.

Following the initial findings, Gómez Becerra was provisionally suspended by both the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and his team, Polti VisitMalta ProTeam.

The provisional suspension was triggered after he tested positive for boldenone during an out-of-competition test in December 2025. The banned substance is an anabolic steroid used mainly in livestock production.
