British rider Tom Woodward retires Low Moor Lucky at age 19

Young British rider Tom Woodward has retired Low Moor Lucky, the horse that took him to his first international victory and his first start at the five-star level, at the age of 19.

During their partnership, the duo achieved notable success, including claiming the national under-25 title at Bramham 2025. Low Moor Lucky was instrumental in Woodward's career, guiding the young rider to the highest levels of the sport.

Woodward admitted that he had been putting off making the announcement. However, he decided to release the news to coincide with the five-year anniversary of their first international win, which took place at Cornbury in the young rider CCI3*-S in 2021.
