Belgian Junior Favourite Seff Van Kerckhove Out of World Championships After Training Crash in Canada

Belgian cyclist Seff Van Kerckhove, the top favourite for the junior men’s time trial at the UCI Road World Championships, has been ruled out of the competition after being hit by a driver during a training session in Canada.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, September 20, when Van Kerckhove was struck by a driver while on a training ride in Montreal.

The injuries sustained in the crash have completely ruined his chances of competing this week. As a result, Van Kerckhove will miss both the junior men's time trial on Tuesday and the road race.
