Aubin Sparfel looks ahead to Decathlon CMA CGM after disappointment at U23 World Championships

Rising talent Aubin Sparfel ended his under-23 career in disappointment on Friday, finishing just off the podium in fourth place in the under-23 men's race at the UCI Road World Championships in Montreal. The 20-year-old French rider had entered the race as the big favourite, hoping to secure the prestigious rainbow jersey.

Despite the disappointment of missing out on a podium finish, Sparfel will now turn his attention to the next chapter of his career. He is set to join his compatriot Paul Seixas in the WorldTour with the Decathlon CMA CGM team.

This move to the professional top tier comes after the young rider spent four seasons growing and developing through the ranks of the team's development program.
