Advanced Technology Recycling Expands Fleet and Secure IT Asset Logistics

Advanced Technology Recycling (ATR) announced the continued expansion of its national logistics and on-site data destruction capabilities, combining white glove equipment extraction, a company-owned fleet, real-time fleet monitoring, and Starlink-connected mobile shredding within an integrated IT asset disposition program. The program is designed to give organizations greater control over retired servers, storage systems, computers, and mobile devices from the moment ATR personnel enter a customer location. ATR can plan the project, remove equipment, capture inventory, pack and stage assets, load them securely, transport them on ATR-operated vehicles, and connect the work to final processing and reporting.

For more than three decades, ATR has invested in the people, equipment, and systems needed to manage that handoff directly. Its national fleet includes more than 60 logistics assets, ranging from cargo vans and lift-gate box trucks to semi tractors, trailers, and mobile shredding equipment. ATR continues to add new Mack equipment to support capacity, reliability, and direct operating control.

White glove service begins inside the customer location, where ATR teams perform equipment extraction, rack and server handling, sorting, labeling, inventory capture, reconciliation, packing, palletizing, and secure loading. Before the project, ATR evaluates equipment volume, site access, security procedures, and operating paths. Brodie Ehresman, ATR's director of marketing and strategic business development, stated that by connecting the work inside the facility to transportation, processing, and reporting, ATR gives customers one accountable team and a clearer record of the entire project.

ATR manages vehicle selection, driver assignment, dispatch, pickup timing, route planning, equipment condition, cargo security, and exception response. The company uses layered transportation controls that can include screened drivers, secured cargo doors, unique trailer seals, and documented route activity. Geotab technology supports ATR's fleet operation with real-time vehicle location and status, geofencing, trip history, route information, diagnostic alerts, and electronic logs. James Debusky, who oversees logistics operations at ATR, noted that direct visibility helps the team manage changing conditions and communicate with customers.

ATR's newest on-site shred truck extends the secure processing environment to the customer's location. A Starlink uplink connects the truck, inventory activity, and video feeds directly to ATR systems while destruction is underway. ATR's security team monitors the video feed live, and the video is retained as evidence of the destruction process. ATR can customize each statement of work around the customer's facility, asset types, and reporting requirements, supported by seven strategically located R2v3- and RIOS-certified facilities and a company-owned national fleet.
