Every year, the weeks and months seem to pass faster. This could be due to the perennial routine of working towards the same events, which appears to speed up time. Regardless of the reason, there is a wish for time to slow down a little.

A new addition to the diary this year was commentating on the European Equestrian Federation (EEF) Nations Cup series. The final of this series, which took place in Avenches at the beginning of September, offered a real championship feel.

While it would have been great to see Great Britain on the podium, they did not place in the top positions. Nevertheless, the event still brought plenty of positives, demonstrating that the changing landscape is providing developing riders and horses with new opportunities to gain valuable team experience.
