Pedro Acosta Claims Maiden MotoGP Victory at Austrian Grand Prix

Pedro Acosta claimed his maiden MotoGP victory at KTM's home race at the Austrian Grand Prix. Starting from third on the grid, the rider bounced back from a sprint race crash while leading to secure his first premier class win.

Jorge Martin made the best start from pole position to hold an early lead ahead of Marco Bezzecchi and Ai Ogura. However, Acosta steadily made his way through the field, overtaking Bezzecchi for second on Lap 4 before making a decisive move on Martin at the chicane on Lap 9 to take the lead.

Acosta held off all late challenges to cross the finish line first in his final race with KTM at its home circuit. Martin came home second after fending off a late charge from Bezzecchi, who completed the podium in third place.

Behind the podium finishers, Ogura secured fourth place ahead of Marc Marquez in fifth. The remaining top 10 spots were taken by Brad Binder, Francesco Bagnaia, Fermin Aldeguer—who received a three-second penalty for causing contact—Fabio Di Giannantonio, and Johann Zarco. Meanwhile, Alex Marquez crashed on Lap 13 and was the sole non-classified rider of the race.
