Lewis Hamilton Summoned by F1 Stewards Over Baku Impeding Incident

Lewis Hamilton has been summoned to see the stewards following FP2 for the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku. The seven-time World Champion is under investigation for allegedly impeding Liam Lawson.

The Ferrari driver finished fourth and fifth respectively in the two sessions held in Baku. However, during the latter hour of FP2, Hamilton held up the Kiwi driver on the final section of the circuit after moving across the track.

The move drew immediate verbal frustration over team radio from Lawson, who described the situation as dangerous. Lawson was caught behind Hamilton upon returning to Racing Bulls, following his three-race stint covering for Isack Hadjar at parent team Red Bull.
