F1 Spanish GP: Mercedes Sets Pace in Madrid Free Practice Sessions

Mercedes set the pace on track as cars took to the circuit for their first practice sessions. George Russell led free practice 1, while Kimi Antonelli claimed the top spot on the timing sheets in free practice 2.

Ferrari appears to be following close behind Mercedes. Meanwhile, the rest of the teams ended up a bit further back in terms of performance during the sessions.

Arvid Lindblad provided a surprise presence in the top four before he suffered a shunt. The Racing Bulls cars also appeared easier to drive around the streets of Madrid, as explained by Jake Boxall-Legge.
