European Cycling Championships Set to Begin in Slovenia Following World Championships

Just after the conclusion of the World Championships in Montreal, attention in the cycling world is already shifting to the next major event. The European Championships are scheduled to begin this Friday in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Unlike the schedule format used at the World Championships, the European Championships will swap the order of events. The competition will kick off with the road races this weekend, followed by the time trials next week. The elite women's road race is set to take place this Saturday, October 3.

Vollering enters the upcoming event in a prominent position. She is not only the defending European champion but also the newly crowned world champion ahead of the weekend's race.
