AJ Foyt Racing Signs Dennis Hauger to Multi-Year Deal Starting in 2027

AJ Foyt Racing has secured 2026 IndyCar Series Rookie of the Year Dennis Hauger on a multi-year agreement beginning with the 2027 season. The 23-year-old Norwegian driver, who completed his rookie IndyCar campaign with Dale Coyne Racing, will take the wheel of the No. 14 Homes For Our Troops Chevrolet. Hauger first arrived in the U.S. in 2025, winning six races to capture the Indy NXT championship as a rookie before moving up to IndyCar.

Hauger's European racing background includes winning the 2019 Italian Formula 4 championship, the 2021 FIA Formula 3 title, five FIA Formula 2 victories, and a long tenure with the Red Bull Junior Team. Team President Larry Foyt highlighted Hauger's quick adaptability across different series as a key factor for targeting him for the team's long-term plans, which include ongoing investments in personnel, technical development, and commercial programs alongside partners Hendricks Holding Company and Homes For Our Troops.

Hauger's first public appearance with the team is scheduled for October 2 at the GM Defense Valor & Velocity Gala at the GM Design Dome in Warren, Michigan. The event benefits the Medal of Honor Foundation and features the No. 14 car alongside leadership from Hendricks Holding Company, Inc. and Homes For Our Troops—a non-profit organization that builds custom adapted homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans. AJ Foyt Racing indicated that Hauger's signing is the first of several announcements regarding its 2027 driver lineup in the coming weeks.
