AJ Foyt Racing Signs Dennis Hauger for 2027 IndyCar Season

AJ Foyt Racing has announced that Dennis Hauger will join the team for the 2027 IndyCar season and beyond. The 23-year-old driver will take over the #14 entry, replacing Santino Ferrucci, who has driven the car for the past four seasons.

Hauger competed as a rookie in 2026 with Dale Coyne Racing in the #19 car, winning the Rookie of the Year award by narrowly beating Mick Schumacher and Caio Collet in the overall points standings. Prior to his IndyCar career, Hauger won the IndyNXT championship in 2025, was a Formula 3 champion, and spent three years racing in Formula 2.

Expressing his excitement, Hauger mentioned having positive discussions with Larry Foyt regarding the team's direction. Having completed two years of racing in America, Hauger stated that he still has more to learn and accomplish in IndyCar, citing both the team's history and its future plans as key motivations.

Hauger assumes driving duties for the team's #14 Homes for our Troops entry, featuring its signature American flag livery. He will begin working on off-track program events during the off-season before making his first race start for Foyt in March. The team is expected to make further announcements in the coming weeks, including confirming the driver for its second entry.
